Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott
I got to Meet James Doohan at Casino Apache
in Ruidoso, NM. He signed my "Mr. Scott's Guide to the
Enterprise." Did anyone know that he is missing his entire
middle finger on his right hand? Also he didn't seem to
be doing too well. :o(  I hope it was just a bad day for him.
NEW: James Doohan died recently. I knew he wasn't doing well. :-(

Pavel A. Chekov
I got to meet Walter Koenig at the Casino Apache too.
He signed a glossy to me and he signed my "Star Trek
Compendium" on a cute picture of him! He is Left-
Handed like me!!! When I showed my Dad the Glossy
he said, "He can't Look That GOOD!!!???" I told him
that "Yes, he can and he did!!!" LOL

Book Reviews

Avenger by William Shatner

Very believable interaction between characters. Strong emotions run rampant through the book. Spock finds out some dark secrets about his Father and why he never mind-melded with Spock. Avenger is the 3rd book in a series. It is a "Fascinating" read!

Sarek by A.C. Crispin
The heartbreaking story of Sarek's deep love for Amanda and his anguish at her terminal illness. The writing is excellent and has real emotion. A.C. Crispin has a great grasp of the personalities of the characters.

Star Trek Events

I finally got to go to the Las Vegas Hilton to ride Star Trek: The Experience!!! It was awesome! After the ride we ate at Quark's Restaurant and Grill. Yummy food! I got to taste some Romulan Ale! WE came home with a Star Trek Pin and a Tribble! I would love to go again but I doubt I will ever make it out to Las Vegas anytime soon. :o(

My thoughts on the show and movies.

TV Shows

I like the Original series best, Spock and McCoy were the main reason for watching!
The Next Generation was good too. I liked Guinan and Picard Best. The other two series I haven't been able to catch very much. That is kind of a bummer. I do like the first few seasons of Deep Space Nine, but I have only seen Voyager around five times, and now it is ending!!!

BUMMER!

I am proud to announce that I finally got to see the Voyager Finale! It was way better than I expected. The show surpassed all other Star Trek series Enders. This was a strongly written story and I think it blew away ALL other Star Trek episodes, period. If Rodenberry was still here I think he would have been proud to have started such an amazing thing that led to this pinnacle of storytelling. This was the essence of Trek in one episode! If you have not seen it yet,

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?????!!!!

Go borrow it from somebody right away!
It is the Logical action to take.

I love the way the characters have matured, especially Tom Paris. He always had potential to be much more. He finally is much more than he was.

Janeway looked stunning as an older woman. I love how the make up and hair was done. She was just as stubborn and cool as ever. I like her because she is a female James T. Kirk. She kicks butt and she is willing to break rules if needed! That is, in my opinion, what makes a truly good Starfleet officer and Captain.

Movies

My favorite Star Trek Movies are The Undiscovered Country, The Wrath of Khan,
and The Voyage Home

Also for the story line...First Contact.
I am going to say though that First Contact could have done without the violence.
I think the story was the best one yet, but I think they should have kept the Borg
assimilations to a minimum. Also phasers would have been nice
instead of Worf's Blade. It was quite messy.

Insurrection was hilarious!
I thought it was kind of like watching an episode of Next Generation
because there wasn't a lot of special effects or extreme murdering sprees.
It was far more lighthearted than First Contact.

MY FAVORITE SCI-FI MOVIES

STAR WARS, the supreme Sci-Fi!!!

X-MEN Rocks!

ID4 is also one of my favorites.

There are many more and I will add some more later.
